I'm 25, married, owner of two kitties and a costumier!
Made mostly for posting progress and completion photos of my costumes. Also expect kitty photos and sneaky shots from work.
I've both judged and competed in competitions and have previously represented the UK in the first Eurocosplay! I pick stupidly detailed costumes and spend far too much money on them. Someone should probably stop me.
I also work on the new ABC show Galavant! It's awesome! Everyone should watch it!
Always happy to answer questions!
Got to meet the lovely Vinnie Jones yesterday! He looks utterly terrifying in costume but he was so nice to chat to. A really down to earth bloke!
Also managed to get in a quick photo before he had to go back in!
Actor wise he’s the biggest draw for me to Galavant. If you’re british and don’t know who this man is then I am disappoint.
Remember those nice curtains from the pilot in the throne room. Well we don’t have anymore of that fabric so I’m making some! Set up for the new throne room starts tomorrow so it’s all go here today!
Next week is filming week 3 but the first week of filming at the studio. Everything else has been on location for the last two weeks.
Today was spent mostly covering this huge bed cover in studs by hand for Gareth’s man cave!
He’s got the most manliest of bedrooms!
Also had the chance to read the scripts up to episode 6! Oh man it just gets better and better. John Stamos has some amazing lines in his episode!
There’s also some feels in the future. And a thing! Oh my god there is a thing that I wish I could talk about! This can’t come out soon enough!
This afternoon I went from this stencil, to this final appliqué piece.
It’s for Galavant’s horse’s caparison for a big event he’ll be taking part in!
So happy with the final look of it! I would’ve liked the satin stitch to be a bit neater but it was rather tricky working with a small thing in the middle of a big piece of fabric.
Also just a little thing I forgot that made my day this week;
Chris, the director, came round with the writer and producers to see how the set was doing earlier in the werk. I met them all briefly at the wrap party last time and they’re so lovely, but obviously wasn’t expecting them to remember me.
As they stopped by the art department to chat to our designer, Chris spotted me and waved then shouted out that he liked my new hair colour! I was green for the pilot but changed to blue last weekend. It really made my day that he would remember me after only chatting to him for a little while at the party let alone notice my hair!
Some work based progress today. This is almost 2 days work (though broken down into afternoons).
So far the piles contain:
2 horse blankets for Gal’s horse
2 blankets for Isabella’s horse
1 pair of lined curtains
4 pairs of varying sized curtains.
The curtains are going to be for the throne room which is currently in progress.
